Emotional rescue

I am back to thinking about the value/contribution of non-rational, emotional response to problems of adherence. My hypothesis is that emotional engagement between physicians and patients is a huge cause of medical disconnect, and that it’s hard to assess the price of that disconnect. It’s easier to talk about missed doses than it is to talk about hatred of physicians, “my physician” or the pharmaceutical industry in general.
